This DVD is the first in a series, which is designed to prepare the candidate for the Student-Teacher Latin-American Examination. It follows the exact same format as the "Latin-American Complete Guide for Professional Examinations", by Miriam Ellis, who is also the producer of this DVD series.

Each of the Student-Teacher figures in Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive is explained and demonstrated by Michael Dean and his partner, Amanda. At the end of each dance, there is also a demonstration of the suggested Student-Teacher Amalgamation, taken from the same Latin Guidebook.
